Boston Migrant Summit
The Boston Migrant Summit provided a collaborative setting to support organizations in the greater Boston area with strategic planning. Over 30 organizations, along with professional mediators, engaged in discussion about opportunities and challenges in the field. This planning process helped to generate and build consensus around a set of actions that the MAP Network (formerly Refugees Welcome!) and others could take to strengthen service provision for migrants. What made this strategic planning process unique is that it drew on the knowledge of service providers from different, normally segregated, fields.

Boston Migrant Resource Forum
The Boston Migrant Resource Forum featured various tools and resources to support the work of organizations that provide services to asylum seekers, refugees, and immigrants. This event highlighted our Migrant Service Map, a volunteer management application, ESL databases, and more. The event also included networking time and  provided an opportunity for attendees to share information about their organizations (attendees were invited to bring pamphlets, brochures, or other information about their organizations).

Networking Nights
Each semester, the MAP Network holds a networking event for immigrant and refugee service providers, scholars interested in migration-related issues, and prospective employees. Networking events offer opportunities for gaining support and sparking collaboration throughout the field of migrant service providers.
